Here's a look at the process of installing and using Try-Before-You-Buy products:

The vendor website usually provides the evaluation or demo version of the product for free download. The user downloads the installation package from the website or receives it on a demo disk. After installing the program, the user evaluates the product and if it meets his needs, purchases the license at the vendor's website or an authorized partner's website, using a credit card, wire transfer or some other payment option. After completing the order, the user receives an e-mail containing the registration key or a download link for the full version of the product. Entering the registration key converts the installed copy of the product to the unlimited, fully functional mode. If the user orders the product on a CD or DVD, the fully functional version is delivered by postal mail or courier within several days.
